Comme si c’était la première fois/ As if it were the first time

In dialogue with the novel “Les Villages de Dieu” by Emmelie Prophèt which tells the story of the collapse
and banality of evil in this city of Port-au-Prince left to its demons. “This work is an exploration of small
everyday actions such as: painting the facade of his shop overlooking the street, were maybe tomorrow
the police and street gangs will clash, or simply put on the best clothes to stay at home. Although
insignificant, people take these actions in order to give their existence the appearance of a life. As they
say: “we prepare the stage for a dance we will never dance, but others will danse it for us.”
